Aspekt will be a sponsor of the 9th Annual SACCO Leaders Convention (SLC) 2024, which will be held from 19th to the 23rd of February 2024 at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, Kenya.
The 9th SACCO Leaders Convention 2024 will address important issues including the future of financial inclusion, climate-smart financing, the inclusive growth agenda, financial turbulence, diversity, equity, and other key questions that SACCOs are currently facing. The primary objective of the event is to provide insight into how SACCOs can be positioned as vehicles to accelerate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the finance sector.
The event will include, among other things, a discussion of an industry roadmap that can allow greater benefits from digital technologies in the future to enhance financial inclusion among SACCOs, a showcase of success stories of diversity and financial inclusion through improved products and services, and an exploration of innovative platforms, products, and services that can revolutionize diversity and financial inclusion. The convention, thoughtfully structured with both general plenary and breakout sessions, will host recognized speakers, representing a diverse range of expertise from the industry, private sector, and government.
Aspekt is excited to participate in this event and share thoughts about the common path of transforming African lives by identifying technological advancements in SACCOs, the continent’s largest cooperative sector.
The event organizer KUSCCO was formed in 1973 as an umbrella organization for SACCOs in Kenya to provide advocacy, financial services, and training for its members, tailored to benefit the middle and low-income earners in Kenya’s rural and urban areas. This is a significant fraction of Kenya’s population that drives the country’s economy through the small and medium enterprise (SME) engine.
