The event is supported by Tanzania Association of Microfinance Institutions (TAMFI), a not-for-profit umbrella organization for microfinance institutions in Tanzania. It was formally registered in 2001 as a sole network for microfinance activities in the country. The members of the network include Commercial, Community, and Microfinance Banks, NGOs, Private MFIs, SACCOS, apex of informal groups, micro -insurance companies, and Business Service Providers.
