The banking system in Africa is undergoing a major transformation due to the onset of digitization. The top emerging trends within the African market that have come forward over the last few years are mobile banking, digital-only banking, and the rise of FinTechs.
The purpose of the event hosted by Aspekt is to gather all key people who have an impact on the development of the banking industry and enable participants to better understand the changes, identify advances in regional banking trends, evolving financial technologies, diversity in financial services and products through collaboration and partnerships between Banks and FinTechs. Aspekt will have the opportunity to discuss the emerging trends in Rwanda and in the African region in general while looking at solutions that can help advance the banking system in the region and, at the same time, consider the latest policies, procedures, and regulations.
The event is supported by the Rwanda Bankers Association (RBA), an association established to act as a forum for the banking sector in Rwanda. The association’s main objectives, among others, are to be the bankers’ voice on non-competitive issues and to promote standards of professional competence.
